What We Do?
SOMDRILL Company carries out all the works related to groundwater starting from Hydro-geophysical exploration, water well drilling operations up to construction. We Specialize in Borehole Drilling of Large diameter and deep boreholes up to 1500m using our specialist drilling machines.
We offer a full service to our clients ranging from exploration, design, construction, well logging, installation, development, test pumping, commissioning and our team of expert engineers are dedicated to providing an unrivalled level of service to our clients in a timely, professional and cost effective manner.
Also, we specialize in borehole rehabilitation, water treatment, supply and installation of electric submersible and surface pumps, solar pumps, hand pumps, water tanks and towers, water distribution systems for rural and urban planning, construction of other water facilities.

Our Equipment
SOMDRILL Company owns and operates Two (2) Hydraulic Rotary Rigs (RD20 Atlas Copco Rig and T4 Ingersoll Rand). Each Rig has 340 psi Ingersoll Rand Air Compressor, 26 Tonner Support Truck and Small 1 Tonner Pick-ups.
Our Two (2) Rigs utilize both mud-direct rotary drilling and pneumatic Down-TheHole (DTH) System, Commonly Known As “drilling Hammer”. We also have two (2) hydraulic winch test pumping units coupled with various capacity borehole submersible pumps.
Besides the drilling equipment, SOMDRILL is the only company in Somaliland and Somalia that has a complete set of surface electrical resistivity Tomography (ERT, Terameter LS2 Advance) and well logging geophysical equipment (Mount Sopris logger) that can used to
identify the availability and quality of water inside the boreholes before installing the casing.
This technology is widely used in oil and water industry.
